Welcome to ProspectTilt!
I watch minor league baseball as often as I can and write about what I see.
ProspectTilt covers prospects across all levels — Low-A through Triple-A, including the DSL and Complex Leagues — with daily breakdowns, pitch data analysis, and the kind of incisive scouting that doesn’t wait for consensus to form before taking a position. If a 19-year-old in the Carolina League is doing something nobody’s talking about yet, I’m talking about it.
I built two proprietary tools to cut through the noise:
TiltValue — a pitching formula that combines ERA, xFIP, K-BB%, SwStr%, velocity, induced vertical break, and age-relative-to-level into a single score. It ranks every qualified arm in the minors. It found Bryan Woo, Logan Henderson, Hayden Birdsong, and Alejandro Rosario before the industry caught on.
HitTilt+ — the hitting counterpart. Walk rate, K rate, ISO, wOBA, OPS, speed, wRC+, exit velocity, launch angle, and age-relative-to-level — all weighted and scored.
The rankings and daily breakdowns are built on data. The opinions are built on conviction. I plant flags early, I cite my own receipts when they hit, and I don’t hide when they don’t. If you’ve followed me on Twitter at @Prospect_Tilt, you already know me and I thank you for your support. Let’s keep the ball rolling! This is where the full work lives.
You heard it here first.
